    Final Workout Scoring

    Mike_hat
    Mike Porter
    08/17/2011

One of the biggest gripes about Games scoring is that in later rounds once the cuts have been made, since there are fewer participants, its harder to make up a large point loss.  You could concievable be in 6th place going into the finale but be 15 point from 1st and you have no mathimatical chance to win.

At the 2011 Games CF HQ did two things to effect this, one was they changed the scoring and added larger point spreads. This really was just a math trick and does not address the problme IMHO. The second thing they did was demonstrated in the Team event where they whipedContinue Reading

Max reps of Cindy in specified time(20:00).

All four members will rotate through the following stations. Station 1 is the "Pace Horse " and station two is Cindy (5 Push Ups, 10 Pull-Ups, and 15 Air Squats).  The Pace Horse will complete a specified work volume of XXX Workout (we are keeping some secrets), while the Pace Horse is working the other athlete is doing Cindy for Max Reps(every rep counts).  Once the Pace Horse completes the specified volume, they rotContinue Reading

The workout has a time limit of say.. 12 minutes. If you get through all your pace horses, the last athlete doing Cindy continues doing Cindy until time expires.

I don’t think I completely understand the winning criterion
If all the athletes do the pace horse work(which is xxx volume of some movement) in a very fast time then their Cindy reps will not be very high.

Each man/woman pairing can decide how they want to load their weights.

What division should you signup for?

    Open Athletes

Lets start with the Open(RXed) division. This division is intended for your average CrossFitter, the weights will be similar to what you see in the CrossFit Girls. So if we include a Thruster you would expect to see 95# for men at 65# for women like in Fran. if we include a ground to overhead, you would expect to see 135# for men and 95# for women. The general rule we are going to follow is that for Open athletes we will try to match the excersize to a well established weight from a CrossFit Girl benchmark workout.  In Continue Reading
